As part of our GROW series, we continue to support our alumni community in developing both professionally and personally. On 25 April and 16 May, alumni and graduating students benefited from two engaging workshops led by Mr Eric Sim, focused on personal branding and career readiness.
Professional Branding for Career Success – 25 April
Designed for our alumni community, this workshop highlighted how LinkedIn can be a powerful tool in shaping one’s career. Eric shared practical strategies on developing an effective social media presence and crafting authentic personal stories with professional relevance. Participants also explored ways to expand their networks and create engaging content that attracts opportunities.
Key Skills to Stand Out and Secure Your Job – 16 May
Tailored for the graduating cohort, this session focused on helping students stand out in a competitive job market. Eric emphasised the importance of being memorable and communicating personal stories with impact. He also introduced innovative ideas such as creating an “AI twin” and tips on leveraging LinkedIn effectively to showcase their strengths and build networks that support their career aspirations.
More Than Just Learning
Across both workshops, participants were also given the opportunity to refresh their corporate headshots as they step forward in their careers.
Through initiatives like these, we aim to empower our alumni to continuously evolve, equipping them with the skills and confidence to thrive in today’s workplace.
