Jingle & Joy: Celebrating Community with Cheer and Care
On 20 December, the SUSS Alumni Relations team teamed up with the Tzu Chi Seniors Engagement & Enabling Node (SEEN) in Bukit Batok to spread cheer to 60 elderly beneficiaries.

With the help of 20 alumni volunteers, the team planned and delivered a meaningful morning filled with warm smiles and a buffet breakfast to match. Everyone slowed down and spent the time to be present and connect with one another.

Snip, snip! Other main highlights of the morning included the complimentary haircuts for seniors, alongside a lively game of Bingo that brought out plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

Then came a delightful surprise. One senior took centre stage with a five-minute dragon dance, showing that age is no barrier to agility and spirit. She even shared plans to conduct dragon dance classes from 2026 onwards, inspiring many in the room.

As the morning wrapped up, goodie bags were handed out and fond goodbyes exchanged. The team also led a heartfelt appreciation segment for the 10 hairstylists who generously volunteered their time and skills.

By noon, the space was cleared but the joy lingered. A simple morning, full of heart, and powered by collective action.
We can’t wait to do more with our Alumni Community! ✨
